Grand Canyon National Park, founded in 1919, is one of the oldest national parks in the United States. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Grand Canyon is a 1-mile deep gorge carved by the Colorado River and is 270 miles long and up to 18 miles wide.

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most visited location at Grand Canyon National Park. The breathtaking scenic views and vistas are what bring over 6 million visitors each year to the park.

Housing

  • Employee housing varies by position. Most employee housing is dormitory-style and is $20/week.
  • Housing options include dormitory style living with up to 1 roommate, and communal bathrooms. Private units are available for Assistant Manager positions and above.
  • Amenities included are beds, wardrobes/closets, dressers, and nightstands.
  • Utilities and laundry facilities included.
  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Couple's housing may be available as well. If you are applying together, please include your spouse’s/significant other’s name on your application.

Meals

  • The Employee Dining Room, Fred’s Place, serves a variety of significantly discounted meal options that include hot entrees, side dishes, beverages, and an assortment of grab and go items.
  • Vegetarian options are available at each meal; however, the EDR chef and crew are not able to accommodate all dietary needs such as vegan or allergy-related restrictions.

Grand Canyon South Rim has over 700 miles of hiking trails and countless miles of backroads. This allows opportunities for hiking, biking, camping, photography, and viewing wildlife. Unique experiences also include mule rides along the rim of the Phantom Ranch, rafting on the Colorado River and train tours along the Grand Canyon Railway.
