El Tovar Dining Room
Gourmet dining in an atmosphere of casual elegance is what's on the menu at the El Tovar Dining Room, located in the historic El Tovar Hotel.
It features a majestic dining room constructed of native stone and Oregon pine and traditional in decor and ambiance. The El Tovar dining room and hotel is built perpendicular to the rim, so a few tables offer a canyon view. The Canyon room also offers great views of the rim. Window seats can be requested in either room, but are not reserved or guaranteed. There is also outdoor seating available on El Tovar veranda, which serves drinks and appetizers. The El Tovar dining room menu blends regional and classical flavors while utilizing contemporary techniques. The El Tovar Dining Room is considered the premier dining establishment at the Grand Canyon. Open all year.
Hours of Operation:
- Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Dinner: 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Dress code is casual.

Advance dinner reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 928.638.2631, ext. 6432 or sending us an e-mail to eltovar-dinner-res-gcsr@xanterra.com. Dinner reservations can be made 6 months in advance with El Tovar room reservations and 30 days in advance without El Tovar room reservations.
El Tovar Lounge
The Lounge welcomes guests into a warm and relaxing environment. Paneled in dark oak, this inviting and rustic room displays paintings of the canyon done by local artists. Gaze at a spectacular view of the canyon from the veranda. Guests can enjoy a light meal and cool beverage while planning their next hike. Limited menu. ID required.
