For Kids and Families

In addition to the other many area activities available at Grand Canyon, there are programs available just for kids and families.

Junior Rangers

A popular program is the Junior Ranger program that provides activities to help children learn more about the Grand Canyon and Grand Canyon National Park. This program is conducted by National Park Service Rangers and teaches kids about the wonders of the Grand Canyon, the fragile community that it sustains, and how to help preserve it for their own children. Available for kids ages 4 - 14.

Family Fun!

Make your visit to the canyon a family affair. The Grand Canyon Field Institute (GCFI) is a non-profit organization offering hiking, backpacking, and day classes in Grand Canyon National Park. The Institute conducts unique and fun-filled learning adventures designed for

adults with children eight years of age or older unless otherwise indicated. GCFI is a program of the Grand Canyon Association.
