Food and Beverage Amenities
Grand Canyon Lodges provides in-room amenities to help personalize your special day or event. Whether you’re staying here yourself or want to surprise someone who is, our in-room amenities are the perfect gifts to let anybody know you care.

ADA Compliant Accommodations
Rooms designed for guests with physical disabilities are available at El Tovar, Kachina, Thunderbird, Maswik North, and Maswik South. To see available ADA-compliant rooms check the “ADA/Accessible Rooms” box in the online reservations application or call Central Reservations at 888-297-2757.
Bank & ATM
Chase Bank and 24-hour ATM are located at Market Plaza.

An ATM is available in the Maswik Lodge lobby.
Bell Staff Service
Luggage service provided by our Bell Staff is available at all of our lodges. Check with the Front Desk Staff for assistance.
To reserve local activities and to receive information regarding the area, you may visit the concierge at El Tovar Hotel.

Gasoline and diesel are available at the Desert View Service Station. It is located at the east park entrance at Desert View, 26 miles east of Grand Canyon Village on Hwy. 64.
Gasoline and diesel fuel are available in the community of Tusayan just outside of the Park via the South Entrance approximately 7 miles/11km from the Village at the Texaco Gas Station/ Express Mini Mart 928-638-2608.
Mechanical services for your car, truck, RV, etc. may be obtained at the Xanterra Garage, located on the main park loop road, near the Grand Canyon Railway Depot, just east of the Xanterra General Office Building.
The Xanterra Garage provides basic mechanical repairs such as tires, belts, batteries, fuses, hoses etc. Tow Service is provided to Williams or Flagstaff for more advanced repairs. The Garage is open daily from 8:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Call our central switchboard at 928-638-2631.
Grand Canyon Association – (GCA)
The GCA is the official non-profit partner of Grand Canyon National Park, raising private funds to benefit the park. For more information or to offer a donation -go to email@example.com. Or call 800-858-2808, you can also talk with a Xanterra Front Desk Agent at any of the Park Lodges.
General Store – Canyon Village Market
Located at Market Plaza, the General Store carries a full line of groceries as well as hiking equipment and gift items. Call 928-638-2262
Information and Visitor Centers
Grand Canyon Visitor Center – Plan your visit, see the park film and view the exhibits. Located near Mather Point and walking distance to the canyon rim. Ample parking is available. You can also ride the free shuttle bus from any of the in-park lodges.
The facility also includes: Bike rentals, a coffee shop, bookstore, restrooms, pay phones, and shuttle bus stops.
Open daily year-round, hours vary seasonally.
- Winter 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Summer 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Back Country Information Center – If you wish to camp anywhere in the park, other than developed campgrounds on the North Rim, South Rim or Tuweep you must obtain a permit from the back country information center. It is located across the train tracks from Maswik Lodge. Or go to www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/backcountry-permit.htm
Verkamp’s Visitor Center – Located within the Historic District on the canyon rim, just east of the Hopi House is one of the oldest buildings in the park. National Park Service rangers and Grand Canyon Association staff will answer any questions you may have regarding the park and its natural and cultural resources. Hours vary seasonally; check the park newspaper for current schedule.
Yavapai Geology Museum – The unique and historic building is located just a short walk or free shuttle ride from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. It features expansive canyon views from its panoramic windows. Exhibits help park visitors to see and understand the complex geologic story of the area. Open year-round, check the park newspaper for current schedule.
Desert View Information Center – Discover how the Grand Canyon continues to inspire a variety of people. This visitor center is located at the park’s east entrance, 26 miles from Grand Canyon Village on hwy. 64. Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., during the winter months it is open as staffing permits. Public restrooms located nearby.
Tusayan Museum and Ruin – See original artifacts, including split twig figurines and ancestral Puebloan pottery. 9:00am to 5:00pm
Laundry and Showers – Camper Services
Coin-operated laundry and shower facilities are available next to Mather Campground.

Parking – Day use
Parking is available in lots throughout Grand Canyon Village. There is no charge for parking inside the park. Please avoid parking along the roadside, except where signs or lines on the road indicate that it is permissible.
Visitor parking can be challenging at the Grand Canyon especially during peak summer season. When visiting the South Rim for the day, consider parking your vehicle at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. From here you can ride the free shuttle bus to the historic district and other popular areas of the park. At the visitor center you can also plan your visit and find inspiring exhibits about the Grand Canyon. Plus a breath taking view of the canyon is only a short walk away.
Pets are allowed on South Rim trails throughout the developed areas of the park. Per the NPS pets are required to be on a leash 6’ in length or less. Pets are NOT permitted below the rim or on park buses (except for service animals). Pets are also not permitted in guestrooms in any of Grand Canyon National Park Lodges accommodations. Overnight pets must be boarded at the kennel. The kennel accepts dogs and cats only, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, reservations are recommended (especially for the summer months and holidays). Pets are accepted for day or overnight boarding, food is included. All dogs must have proof of current inoculation against rabies, DHLP, bordetella and parvo. All cats must have proof of current inoculation against rabies, feline leukemia and distemper combo (FDVR). The park kennel is located at the South Rim near Maswik Lodge. Safety Deposit Boxes
Contact the Front Desk at your lodge for more information. Safety deposit boxes are available only to lodge guests.
Taxi service is available to the Grand Canyon Airport, trailheads, and other destinations. This service is provided daily, 24-hours. Call 928-638-2822 or 928-638-2631 – NOTE: If you leave the park a park entry pass is required for re-enter.
Tours of the National Park
On the South Rim there are a variety of interpretive bus tours available. These tours include: Sunrise, Sunset, Desert View and Hermits Rest. Tours are available throughout the year, departure times vary seasonally. Please inquire at any transportation desk or El Tovar Concierge for additional information. Wheelchair-accessible coaches are available by prior arrangement.
Information about Phantom Ranch, Mule Trips, Interpretive Bus Tours, the Grand Canyon Railway, Colorado River Float Trips as well as many other Canyon Adventures (including wheelchair-accessible activities) is available from our knowledgeable staff at any of the following transportation desks:

Transportation – Free bus service within the South Rim Area
Free shuttle buses run daily within Grand Canyon National Park (tickets not required).
They operate on four different routes:
- Village Route
- Kaibab Trail Route
- Hermits Rest Route (except November & December)
- Tusayan Route (available summers only)

Transportation – Shuttle Van Service from Phoenix and Flagstaff
Arizona Shuttle 800-888-2749 offers shuttle service from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Flagstaff to the canyon. Times and rates are posted on www.arizonashuttle.com
Transportation – Shuttle Van Service – Rim to Rim (North and South)
The Trans-Canyon Shuttle runs between the north and south rims once each day, in each direction, and the travel time is about 4.5 hours each way. Shuttle operates mid-May through mid-October. There is a fee for this service. Call 928-638-2820.
