Phantom Ranch Canteen

Located at Phantom Ranch, the Canteen provides hearty breakfasts, sack lunches, and dinner choices of hiker's stew, vegetarian chili or steak to adventurous travelers who journey to the bottom of the Canyon.

Note that there are specific seating times for breakfast and dinner. Steak dinners are served at the early seating and hiker's stew and vegetarian chili dinners are served at the late seating. The Canteen also offers a limited variety of hiker items including snacks, beverages, stamps, T-shirts, postcards, and first-aid supplies. Open all year.

Hours of Operation:

• April 1 - October 31: Open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• November 1 - March 31: Open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Only guests with meal reservations are admitted during meal times.
• The Canteen doors are closed while meals are served, so please do not be late.
  

There are two seatings for breakfast:

April 1 to October 31
Early seating at 5:00 a.m.
Late seating at 6:30 a.m.

November 1 to March 31
Early seating at 5:30 a.m.
Late seating at 7:00 a.m.

Sack lunches are available anytime.

There are two seatings for dinner:

Steak dinners are served at 5:00 p.m.

Hiker's stew and vegetarian chili dinners are served at 6:30 p.m.

Reservations Required:

Meals MUST be reserved well in advance of your descent. In fact, it is highly recommended that you secure your meal reservations at the same time as your overnight accommodations at Phantom Ranch. There are a limited number of meals available at each seating and meals are not exclusively reserved by Phantom Ranch guests.

Dress code is casual.
