The California Condor is one of the most endangered birds on the planet. Their numbers were brought down to only 25 in the 1980's, due to shooting and poisoning. When their numbers dwindled so low the remaining birds were collected for captive breeding programs. Environmentalists were able to reintroduce them into the wild in 1992. The Condor is in very few places, but one of them is the Grand Canyon, if you’re lucky you might just spot one! Bring home the beauty of this bird we could have lost forever.
