By Bus

When heading to the Grand Canyon's South Rim, you can fly into one of three airports:

  • Phoenix Sky Harbor
  • Flagstaff Pulliam Airport
  • Grand Canyon Airport

Commercial air carriers serve Las Vegas, Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Grand Canyon Airport. For flights to Grand Canyon Airport, located in Tusayan, which is just 10 mile south of the park, call Scenic Airlines at 800.634.6801 or visit the Scenic Airlines Web site.

By Train

Yes, it is possible to arrive at the Grand Canyon's South Rim by train! The Grand Canyon Railway provides train service between Williams, Arizona, and Grand Canyon, Arizona. The Railroad Express offers bus service for people who only want a one-way trip on the vintage train. To ride on the train one-way in the morning from Williams, contact any lodge transportation desk within the park. To ride on the train one-way in the afternoon, contact Grand Canyon Railway at 1-800-THE-TRAIN or visit the Grand Canyon Railway Web site.
